Terms & Conditions

By submitting an application, completing registration, or accepting a title within the United Crown of America (UCA) system, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions, which form a legally binding agreement between the applicant (or legal guardian, if under 18) and UCA.

Eligibility

All applicants must meet the division requirements listed below at the time of application. UCA reserves the right to request legal proof of age, residency, or marital status for eligibility verification. All applicants must identify as female to participate.

Divisions:

  • Little Miss Division: Ages 4 –10

  • Preteen Division: Ages 11–13

  • Teen Division: Ages 14–19

  • Miss Division: Ages 18–28 (unmarried, no children)

  • Ms. Division: Ages 18+ (unmarried or divorced, with or without children)

  • Mrs. Division: Ages 18+ (married; with or without children)

State Titleholder Structure

State Titles within the UCA system are appointed. Contestants do not compete against one another but are instead appointed. Multiple contestants may not hold the same title within a given year and division. All state titleholders are eligible for national competition.

Titleholder Materials

All titleholders will receive the following materials depending on their level:

Local Titleholders:

  • Local UCA crown

  • Printed local sash

  • Professionally printed certificate, mailed to the contestant

State Titleholders:

  • Larger, more ornate state crown

  • Upgraded embroidered state sash

  • Swag Box including various customized titleholder items and accessories

  • Access to national competition and digital promotional features

Materials will be mailed within 30 business days of title confirmation. UCA is not responsible for shipping delays or third-party delivery issues.

State Criteria

United Crown of America uses an individual merit-based appointing system. Contestants are not compared to each other; instead, they are evaluated independently based on their own materials, presentation, and alignment with UCA values.

National Criteria

Each upper division state contestant is scored in the following categories, for a total possible score of 30 points.

  • Headshots: Quality, professionalism, and presentation (5 points)

  • Accomplishments: Academic, personal, or professional achievements (10 points)

  • Video Introduction (5 points)

  • Volunteer Work: Community service, leadership, and impact (10 points)

Top 5 of each division will be announced on September 21st 2025 1:00 P.M PST.  through the website, social media pages, and each delegate will be emailed individually announcing the Top 5. The Top 5 will complete a final Zoom interview. They will have until September 23rd 6:30 P.M PST.  to complete this interview. If a Top 5 delegate fails to complete the interview, they potentially waive their right to proceed in the competition and their position in the Top 5 will be offered to the delegate with the second highest score. This interview is worth 5 points. If for any reason there is a tie in score, delegates will answer a final question on Zoom to break the tie. The People's Choice winner will secure placement in the Top 5All judging is final. Scores are confidential and will not be released.

In such cases, all physical and digital title materials must be returned or surrendered upon request.

In-Person Events & Liability Disclaimer
Titleholders may be invited to participate in in-person events that are either (1) coordinated directly by United Crown of America (UCA), or (2) independent, third-party events where the titleholder appears as a representative of UCA.

For UCA-coordinated events, all participation details will be provided in advance by UCA staff. While UCA will make every effort to ensure a safe and organized experience, delegates attend at their own risk and are responsible for their own transportation, behavior, and personal safety.

For third-party events, UCA does not assume responsibility for event organization, safety, or conduct. These events are optional and titleholders are encouraged to exercise judgment when attending. UCA is not liable for any injury, loss, or damages that may occur at third-party events, regardless of titleholder status or branded appearance.

By accepting a title, the delegate (or legal guardian, if under 18) expressly acknowledges and agrees that UCA bears no liability for incidents occurring during either UCA-coordinated or third-party appearances, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, travel complications, or unforeseen risks.
